Operation Alpha Flight is a Go!
The Canadian Super team is back, and from the looks of it they’ll be fighting against evil for a long time making their stay permanent or should I say “ONGOING”! Alpha Flight was one of Marvel’s most popular series back in the ’80s and the days of Chris Claremont and John Byrne. Not to mention this was one of the first teams Wolverine ever fought for. Alpha Flight was lost to us in the aftermath of the House of M event, in which the entire team was killed by the ‘Collective’. Omega Flight, was to be a replacement, but due to poor sales was canceled after five issues in 2007. In recent times, Marvel saw an opportunity to bring our heroes back in a eight-issue mini-series from writers Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente. Thankfully fans responded well to the reemergence of the new Alpha Flight series; so Marvel announced at the FanExpo in Toronto today that Alpha Flight is now officially an ongoing series. So three cheers for Alpha Flight!
